Down Syndrome Awareness Month

Did you know that:

  • Approximately one out of 800 live births results in a baby with DS?
  • Most babies with DS are born to mothers under 35?
  • For most parents DS is a completely random event with no family history of it?
  • DS is the most common chromosomal difference?
October is Down syndrome awareness month. I'll be attempting to write 31 blog posts to bring awareness to DS and to issues surrounding DS.

Happy October!
